Project Kick-Off Meeting
The D (special) DAYS Project Kick-Off Meeting brought together team leaders and partner representatives in Kočani, North Macedonia, marking the first face-to-face transnational partnership meeting of the project. The meeting provided a common starting point for cooperation among the organisations from Portugal, North Macedonia, Greece and Croatia and helped align the partnership around the project's objectives, target groups and planned activities.
The partners reviewed the overall implementation framework and the main stages of D (special) DAYS. Discussions covered the preparation of teacher training and the D DAYS Handbook, the establishment and operation of the Transnational Inclusive Club, the 20-week programme of Drama, Dance, Art, Yoga and Sport activities, the Special (Olympic) Games, and the project's stakeholder engagement, sharing and dissemination activities.
A central part of the meeting focused on coordination and the responsibilities of the project partners. The partnership reviewed the role of the Project Steering Committee and the transnational teams responsible for training and Handbook development, implementation of Inclusive Club activities, and sharing and promotional work. These structures provide the framework for monitoring progress, coordinating responsibilities and addressing challenges throughout implementation.
Administrative, financial and time-management arrangements were also addressed. The partnership reviewed project-budget responsibilities, Erasmus+ financing requirements and the administrative documentation required during implementation. A detailed activity timetable, internal check points and deadlines for organisational preparations and materials were agreed as the basis for keeping project activities coordinated and on schedule.
The meeting also established the practical foundation for continued cooperation after the partners returned to their countries. Regular online coordination, shared digital workspaces and rapid communication channels support ongoing exchange among the project teams. With responsibilities and the implementation framework clarified, the partnership moved forward with preparations for the first teacher-training activities and the next stages of D (special) DAYS.
