Dissemination Activities

Dissemination activities strengthen the visibility, reach and long-term impact of D (special) DAYS by engaging local, regional and national stakeholders, sharing project achievements and promoting sustainable approaches to the inclusion of youths with special needs.

Q4 2025 Santa Maria da Feira, Kočani, Piraeus and Daruvar Stakeholder Workshops

Local Stakeholder Workshops

The Local Stakeholder Workshops brought the D (special) DAYS project into direct dialogue with organisations and community actors in Santa Maria da Feira, Kočani, Piraeus and Daruvar. One workshop was organised in each targeted municipality, creating a local space to present the project approach, share experiences from implementation and discuss how different stakeholders can contribute to stronger inclusion of youths with special needs.

The workshops involved representatives of local authorities, educational institutions, civil-society organisations, community groups, parents, organisations working with vulnerable young people and other relevant local stakeholders. By bringing together different sectors, the events encouraged discussion about the challenges faced by youths with special needs and the importance of coordinated local support.

Participants were introduced to the work of the Transnational Inclusive Club and the Drama, Dance, Art, Yoga and Sport activities implemented through its four local branch-clubs. The workshops also provided an opportunity to reflect on the value of inclusive environments, mixed-team participation and cooperation between schools, municipalities, NGOs and families.

A central purpose of the workshops was to strengthen local partnerships and gather stakeholder perspectives on how the project approach could be supported and sustained. Discussions encouraged participants to share experience, identify local needs and consider how existing services, policies, community initiatives and future cooperation could better respond to the inclusion of youths from vulnerable groups.

By connecting the experience gained through D (special) DAYS with local institutions and community actors, the workshops supported wider awareness of the project and encouraged continued cooperation beyond the immediate implementation activities. Feedback and stakeholder engagement also contributed to the project’s broader work on sustainable approaches, transnational cooperation and future actions for inclusion.

August–November 2026 Portugal, North Macedonia, Greece and Croatia National Dissemination Events

National Dissemination Events

The National Dissemination Events form the final large-scale public sharing activity of D (special) DAYS, with one event organised in each partner country: Portugal, North Macedonia, Greece and Croatia. The events bring project activities, achievements and practical results to a wider audience of local, regional and national stakeholders.

During the events, the partners present the experience gained through the Transnational Inclusive Club and its 20-week Operational Program, including the inclusive Drama, Dance, Art, Yoga and Sport activities delivered with mixed teams of secondary school students and youths with special needs. The events also provide an opportunity to present the project’s main tangible results and the lessons learned through implementation in the four participating countries.

The dissemination events are intended for a broad range of stakeholders, including parents, representatives of local and national authorities, City Council members, educational institutions, organisations working with vulnerable groups, civil-society organisations, community representatives, media and potential supporters from the local business sector. This broad participation helps connect the project’s practical experience with organisations and decision-makers able to support future inclusive initiatives.

Presentations and discussions highlight project achievements, participant experiences, success stories and the benefits of transnational cooperation. Stakeholders are also encouraged to exchange perspectives on how the approaches, resources and partnerships developed through D (special) DAYS can support continued work on inclusion, participation and community engagement beyond the funded project period.

Together with the project website, communication activities and continued access to the project’s tangible results, the National Dissemination Events support the long-term visibility and sustainability of D (special) DAYS. By sharing experience from Portugal, North Macedonia, Greece and Croatia, the events help promote wider understanding of the project model and encourage future cooperation around inclusive opportunities for youths with special needs.
